About Family Promise
We provide homeless children and their families with food, clothing, shelter and comprehensive services by partnering with our community. We are committed to advocating for innovative solutions to ending family homelessness.
Family Promise of Monmouth County, an affiliate of national Family Promise, works with community agencies, faith-based services, churches and synagogues to provide shelter, food, transportation and supportive services including case management for homeless families.
Our Network is made up of host congregations who have pledged the use of their facilities and the participation of volunteer members and support congregations who provide additional volunteers and support.
Each year we provide roughly 12,597 meals and 5,110 bed-nights for families in need. Referral calls to Family Promise of Monmouth County from families seeking temporary housing have increased steadily since the program has begun. Our staff currently receives 6-8 calls a week; unfortunately our capacity falls far short of the demand.
If you would like to have one of our Family Promise Training Team Members conduct a training at you congregation please email Sue Bove
