Hearts of hope breakfast

Third Annual Hearts of Hope breakfast was held at the Ocean Place Hilton in Long Branch, NJ. This year was unique in that four local charities joined forces to better serve youth in our community with behavioral health programs. The four organizations were: Collier Youth Services, The YMCA of Greater Monmouth County, Family Promise of Monmouth County, HFCF and Family and Children Services.

This Monmouth County family was homeless. Then an amazing gift changed everything.

Family Promise does more than provide a roof over families’ heads. Its 90-day program of intensive case management connected Winkey-Lebron and Johnson with the Sheraton. They landed jobs in the housekeeping department and that has opened the door for others.

“Since Nick and Aniyyah are such great employees, the Sheraton had no issues with accepting our other referrals,” Love said. “They’re not our only success story, but they make me proud because they are younger, they listened and they’ve grown so much. They’re well on their way.”

Help Us Move In Challenge: Strive for $1,205-Help Us Move in Challenge Grant

Family Promise of Monmouth County was 1 of 10 Affiliates nationwide to receive a -two-year $20,000 Help Us Move In (HUMI) Challenge Grant. Investors Bank led our efforts by awarding FPMC’s first $5,000 followed by an equal match from Help Us Move In, Inc., who were then matched by Family Promise-National!

FPMC is charged with engaging the community and matching the funds with another $20,000 each year.
